Unite 2021

Unite 2021 will take place as a three-day virtual event from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May, with a programme of activities aimed at Over 11’s (Company/Seniors age groups) being streamed and available online throughout the weekend.

What’s in store at this year’s event?

Unite 2021 will be free to take part in, and it will be possible to do so in a home setting, or in a group either as part of a virtual session or face-to-face where regulations permit.

The programme will feature a number of activities throughout the weekend which young people, their families and leaders will all be able to get involved in. Content will be launched across our social media channels throughout the weekend and some activities will be done via Zoom.

Our theme for the weekend is ‘Unite TV . . . Challenge Accepted!’ and will include competitions such as a Quiz, Taskmaster, Unite’s Got Talent, Bake Off and Scrapheap Challenge, as well as a morning workout, campfire, escape room and lots more!

Worship at Unite

Worship will be a key part of Unite and we are so excited that Dez Johnston will be joining us again this year. Dez is the Europe, Middle East & North Africa Ambassador for Alpha Youth and he will be working alongside our Pastoral Team to bring some unmissable times of worship!

The talks will tie in with our theme as we look at characters in the Bible who were set tasks by God and how we can look to Jesus to help us overcome challenges and difficult times in our lives. We’ll look at the story of Jonah and the various times the disciples were sent out by Jesus.

Our mornings will start with a Thought for the Day and this year we will be thinking about how we view mental health in light of our faith and our whole person being created in the image of God.
